“GED classes and testing are available throughout Pierce County to those who have not completed the requirements to earn a high school diploma. If you are 16 to 19 a release from the school district is required. The GED is a paper and pencil test comprised of five individual tests: Language Arts Writing, Language Arts Reading, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. The cost for the complete GED battery is $75, or $15 per test or retest. If you are ready to take the test, but need help paying for it contact Educational Opportunity Center 253-573-6811. For those who need additional classes to prepare for the test, please review the resource guide for locations that best match your needs.
